Datuk Ahmad Zaki Zahid
Datuk Zaki is presently the Managing Director of Knusford Berhad and the Executive Chairman of Zulu Capital Sdn Bhd, a private equity fund management company registered with the Securities Commission Malaysia that he co-founded in 2014 that invests in unlisted companies, primarily in the food and beverage industry. He is currently the Chairman of Top Leader Sdn Bhd, a F&B company operating over 40 F&B outlets. He is also a director of Helang Flying Academy Sdn Bhd, a helicopter flight training academy in Malaysia licensed by the Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia.
His past experience include stints with a regulatory authority, a global management consulting firm as well as taking up various positions within the Malaysian Government. He also held senior management positions with various public listed companies involved in the F&B and construction sectors.
He graduated with a Bachelor of Law from the University of Bristol in United Kingdom in 1994. He sits on the Advisory Committee of Thinkat Advisory and participates as an advisor to our operations.
Dato’ Peter Yong
Called to the English Bar by the Honourable Society of Middle Temple, London in 1978 and to the Sabah Bar in 1979 and remains in private practice since then. Treasurer of Sabah Law Association for 1979/80. Former Director of Sabah Finance Berhad (a financial institution under the Banking and Financial Institutions Act), former Chairman of the Sabah Shooting Association (Kota Kinabalu Branch) and Director of the Sabah Forestry Development Authority (SAFODA) (a statutory body established under the SAFODA Enactment Sabah).
Henry has over 20 years of experience in corporate banking, structured finance and real estate finance in Greater China and Australia. A career banker turned corporate advisor, he is the Founder and Chairman of pH Capital Ltd, a cross border private equity company based in Hong Kong.
Prior to this, he was the Chief Risk Officer for Standard Chartered Bank (Taiwan) Limited. Preceding this, he was Managing Director of Investment Banking Asia with Cushman and Wakefield Capital Asia where he oversaw the investment banking business for the firm in Asia. He also spent 19 years with National Australia Bank in Hong Kong and Australia where he held a number of positions in the Corporate and Institutional Banking business of the bank.
Henry is the past President of the Malaysian Chamber in Taipei and is a Fellow of the Hong Kong Institute of Directors and CPA Australia. A graduate in Commerce from University of Western Australia, Mr. Hooi is a CPA and holds a Grad. Diploma in Corporate Governance. He has also attended the Said Business School, Oxford University.
Karl was an investment banker over a span of 18 years and has been involved in a wide array of corporate transactions including mergers and acquisitions, restructuring and listings on the ACE and Main Market of Bursa Malaysia. His last position in banking was as the corporate advisory head of Hong Leong Investment Bank before leaving to head the corporate division of a listed property developer. Karl played an integral role in the establishment of the corporate finance units in K&N Kenanga Berhad and Kuala Lumpur City Securities Sdn Bhd (which has since been acquired by Alliance Investment Bank Berhad).
He holds a BSc (Hons) in Actuarial Science, MBA in Finance and the Corporate Finance Qualification of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. Karl passed both the required SIDC examinations for Corporate Finance in 2005.
Ahmad Zubir Zahid
Zubir has over seven years’ experience within the offshore oil and gas industry, as Chief Financial Officer of three separate offshore construction companies. Prior to joining the oil and gas industry, he spent over a decade in the financial services industry as a management consultant, investment banker and auditor with Ethos Consulting, ECM Libra, CIMB Investment Bank and PwC, respectively.
He holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Economics and Accounting from the University of Bristol in 1996. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales and is an Associate of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand. Zubir passed both the required SIDC exams to obtain his CMSRL in 2017.
Terence began his banking career with a commercial bank in the United States before returning to Malaysia in 2010. He joined the corporate finance unit of a local investment bank where he has since been involved in IPOs, reverse take-overs, fund raising exercises, mergers and acquisitions, privatisations and other corporate exercises.
He holds a BSc in Business Administration (Actuarial Science and Finance). Terence passed both the required SIDC exams to obtain his CMSRL in 2011.
Faizul started out at a strategic communications firm specialising in digital communications and locality-based activism. He then joined the corporate finance department of a listed property developer and subsequently joined the CEO’s Office.
He served a short stint with the Malaysian Government before he was engaged as a consultant for the project management of the Kuala Lumpur 2017 SEA Games and ASEAN Para Games.
Ahmad Nasir Bin Mohd Said
Nasir started his career with KPMG in 2004 before joining Astro All Asia Networks plc Corporate Assurance department. His exposure in corporate finance began with MIMB Investment Bank Corporate Finance where he was involved various corporate exercises including IPO’s, private placement, capital reduction, related party transactions and independent advise.
In 2012, he joined Ekovest Berhad Corporate Department and was involved in several high profile corporate exercises and debt issuance undertaken by the Group.
Nasir holds a Bachelor of Accounting from Multimedia University.
